Downtown Mesa:

Very Parking Friendly!

Whenever you come downtown, you can be assured a convenient parking space.

The downtown public parking program covering the city's original square-mile district places a high priority on free parking for customers and clients of businesses, and paid parking for employees without private parking.

Ample free parking, plus paid event parking, will also be available at the Mesa Arts Center, with nearly 3,000 spaces within a block when new lots are added. Valet parking will be offered for select Mesa Arts Center events as well. Other downtown public facilities also have plenty of free parking on-site or nearby. All other downtown public facilities have free visitor parking.

Above is a map of public parking lots and garages currently available in the downtown square mile.

A number of downtown buildings are being developed or renovated in 2005 and will be fully functional in 2006. As this happens, changes to the parking program will ensure parking remains convenient for everyone. Downtown Mesa Association (DMA), which manages downtown public parking via a contract with the City of Mesa, will keep you updated as the parking program grows and improves with downtown.

Downtown Mesa

Parking Program

Works for Everyone!

Convenient

Ample Availability

Downtown Mesa’s Parking Program is an innovative, area-wide parking system utilized by more than 10,000 daily customers in free spaces and more than 3,400 employees in long-term permit spaces.

This unique parking program was developed to accommodate the considerable business growth in Downtown by giving top priority to free and convenient parking for all of Downtown Mesa’s customers and clients.

Free on-street, all-day parking is also offered to Downtown employees within a one to two block walk of most businesses. In addition, specific parking lots and parking garages with long-term leasable spaces are available for employees who opt not to utilize the free on-street parking within a few blocks walk.

The purchase of a parking decal allows you to park anywhere within the signed permit required areas between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Time limits for decals are not in effect on Saturdays, Sundays, and City of Mesa holidays.

Free customer day passes are provided to customers who plan to park in public parking lots or garages beyond the posted time limits. These free customer day passes are available through businesses and Downtown Mesa Association upon request. Non-customer use of free day passes is not valid and will be cited.

The overall Downtown Mesa Parking Program is managed by Downtown Mesa Association under contract with the City of Mesa. (scroll up for contact information).
