Mesa’s Permanent
Sculpture Collection
Mesa’s Growing Permanent Sculpture Collection features 36 diverse pieces, most of which are displayed in downtown Mesa on or near Main Street between Mesa Drive and Country Club Drive. Enjoy fine sculptures of people, wildlife, whimsical characters, intriguing abstractions and more. The collection even includes some fun interactive sculptures. MACFest Oct. - April
MAC Fest, Mesa’s community-owned “Made by Me” Arts and Culture Festival, has returned for its second season of arts, crafts, food, live music and fun for the whole family!
The event will be held every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., October 2010 to April 2011, on the sidewalks of Main Street, with vendors beginning at Macdonald Street then spreading east and west from there.
Once again, artists from across the Valley will offer original paintings, ceramics, glassworks, jewelry, photography, woodcarvings, fiber art, sculpture and much more. Nearly 200 artists participated last season, and even more are expected this season. Event organizers also expect to have more entertainment.
Artist & Performer Registration
Artists can get a 10 x 10 foot outdoor space on Main Street for only $15 per day, and those providing music, performances or family entertainment can get a space for free. With an estimated 30,000 total attendees the first season and even more expected for the second season, MACFest provides a great opportunity for artists and performers to showcase their talents and quality work to the public.

Farmer's Market
The Mesa Community Farmer's Market continues every Friday from 9 a.m. to noon. This outdoor event is held in front of the Mesa Convention Center, on Center Street just south of University Drive.
The Farmer's Market features fresh produce from local growers, plus a variety handmade arts and crafts such as jewelry, wooden toys and wall hangings.

Therizinosaur: The Mystery of the Sickle Clawed Dinosaur
Prehistoric Pronghorn: Ancient Antelope: This exhibit showcases the rich fossil history of the American Pronghorn Antelope. See the dozens of species of pronghorn that have existed in the past several million years. Today all that remains of this original American family is one species, unrelated to the African antelope with which it is confused. The exhibit features actual fossils and skeletons as well as life sized reconstructions of extinct pronghorns. Prehistoric Pronghorn comes to AzMNH from the International Wildlife Museum in Tucson.
Museum hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday 1 to 5 p.m. The museum is closed Mondays and holidays. Admission is: $9 for adults, $5 for children 3-12, $8 for seniors 65 and older, $7 for students 13 and older with ID, and free for children 2 and younger.
